I too have a Samsung with this problem, my tv is the 55" curved screen Samsung that developed a purple patch. The tv is 2 years old. Yesterday 8th Jan 2019 an engineer came to my home and told me, the problem could not be fixed, I needed a new screen BUT they no longer make the screens.

I have a SAMSUNG Smart TV; Mdl:UN40H5203AF; TYPE: UN40H5203. Several days ago the sound quit, picture was perfect and CC worked. The next day, the sound came back on but it is now garbled. I checked all connections and checked the tools btton on the remote to verify sound settings. The garbled sound may be a cracked speaker on the tv monitor.
The tv plus app has been deleted off my tv more times than I can count but all deleting tv plus does is replace it with another problem as it then pops up with a ‘cannot connect to server’ fault.
